We have listed the most frequently asked questions on all topics below. We would be pleased to answer your questions and suggestions personally. Please do not hesitate to contact our friendly reception team.
Arrival and departure & family suites
When will my suite be ready for my family?
Our family suites are available from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival.
By what time do we need to check out?
We kindly ask you to vacate the family suites between 10:00 and 11:00 am on the day of departure.
Are separate children's rooms available?
All suites have separate children's rooms.
Do the suites have a balcony?
Every suite has a balcony or a terrace.
What baby equipment is in the room?
A changing table with various care utensils, nappy bucket, changing mat, and a baby cot or bed.
Is a baby monitor available?
All suites are equipped with a baby monitor.
Are bed rails available?
We will be happy to provide you with a bed rail if required.
Is there a coffee maker in the suite?
Every suite has a Nespresso coffee maker with capsules.
Are the cosmetic products organic?
All cosmetic products in the room and hotel are organic and vegan.
Is the water drinkable?
The hotel is supplied with water from our mountain spring. Mountain spring water of the highest drinking quality flows from all tap.
How are the suites cleaned?
Clean Green! We mainly use industrial steam to clean the suites and the hotel without having to utilize chemical cleaning agents.
Do I need snow chains in winter?
Winter tires are sufficient. The road service clears snow regularly and reliably.
Can I get there without a car?
Absolutely! The connection via plane to Salzburg or Munich is very good and we would be happy to order a shuttle for you. Or to a train station of your choice. The stations in both St. Johann im Pongau and Salzburg can be reached easily.
Our reservation team will be happy to inform you about the cost of a shuttle.
How long does it take to drive to St. Johann im Pongau, Salzburg, Munich?
St. Johann is 16 km and about 20 minutes away, Salzburg is 74 km and about 60 minutes away, Munich is 205 km and about 130 minutes away.
Are there charging stations for electric cars?
Charging stations for electric cars are available for a fee in our free, secure underground parking garage.
Where can I have my car washed?
Exterior cleaning can be done for a fee in the hotel's car wash. We would also be happy to provide interior cleaning (for a fee).
Childcare
From what age do you offer childcare?
Moar Gut childcare is offered from the 30th day of life.
Is childcare offered according to age?
We offer baby, toddler, and child-care, as well as teen programs.
Do I have to sign children up for childcare?
We ask you to sign up for baby-care by the evening before.
Is an outdoor area available?
A new outdoor area with a sensory path is available.
Do you also offer supervised children's meals?
All children are welcome to attend the supervised children's meal at lunchtime and in the evening.
Babies
What baby equipment is available in the hotel and restaurants?
Highchairs with baby seats, baby and toddler dishes as well as bibs and a baby monitor system are available in addition to the extensive baby equipment in the family suite.
Do you offer baby food?
The organic baby bar with porridges, formulas, and various food jars is always available.
Are there baby carriages and similar equipment in the hotel?
Everything from prams (also twin and triplet prams), various baby and child carriers, and back carriers (Kraxen) can be hired at the hotel.
We are also happy to provide our Thule bike trailers and Thule joggers.
Children
Are bathrobes available for babies and children?
You will find bathrobes for your children in your family suite upon arrival.
Teens
Are teens included in the supervised activity program?
Special teen programs for our "bigger" guests include Segway tours, various excursions, haystack overnights, sports tournaments, and much more.
Cuisine
Are special nutritional forms also feasible during the stay?
Special nutritional needs, including vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diets, do not pose any problems. Please let us know before your stay.
When should I report allergies and food intolerances?
Please inform us about allergies and food intolerances before your stay if possible.
Do you have special children's food?
We offer balanced and age-appropriate flavoured food for lunch and dinner.
Farm
Which animals live at the Moar Gut Resort?
Cows and calves, Benjamin the donkey and 15 Icelandic horses live on the farm. On the small-animal farm, there are all kinds of chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, pigs, two alpacas and geese.
Are the children allowed to take care of the animals?
All children are allowed to pet the animals at any time. And also: with the adopt-an-animal program, you as a family are allowed to take over further tasks for a certain animal and are honored with a certificate at the end of your stay. One animal may be selected per family. The animals are fed together every day as part of the childcare. Families who adopt an animal for the duration of their stay receive a bag of food for their animal upon arrival.
Is the farm included in the childcare?
There is a farm day once a week during the summer months. This includes gathering eggs, feeding the animals, baking bread, churning butter, hopping in the hay, and riding a tractor.
Moar Gut mountain pasture and cabin
At which altitude is the mountain cabin?
The Moar Gut mountain cabin is situated at 1693 meters above sea level and is exclusively available to our guests.
Is it possible to rent the Alm for a family stay?
The alp can be rented on request. Prices and catering options can be found here.
When does the family hike to the mountain cabin take place?
The guided family hike to the mountain cabin takes place once a week in the summer months. Once at the top, Moar Gut chefs and service staff await big and little mountaineers with a traditional lunch buffet.
Wellness
What are the opening hours of the new SPA area?
The pools and lakes can be used from 7:00 am, the saunas and spa areas are open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Should I book my spa appointments in advance?
We recommend booking your desired spa appointments before your arrival.
Where can I book a spa appointment?
Please book spa appointments from home or on site at our spa reception or the hotel reception. We will be happy to advise you!
Which water areas does the Moar Gut offer?
In the summer months, the natural swimming lake is very popular. Regardless of the weather, you can swim indoors in the panoramic indoor pool with attached baby and toddler area.
You can also use the heated outdoor pool and the (ice-cold) mountain lake in the sauna area.

What courses can children take part in?
Our wide range of courses for children includes swimming, skiing, riding, and tennis courses.
Active in summer
Can I rent a bicycle or an e-bike?
You can rent bicycles, bike trailers, E-bikes, and Segways for a fee in the hotel's Moar Ladl shop.
Which alpine pasture is stroller friendly?
In Großarl there are many stroller-friendly hiking trails to the alpine pastures. The reception team will be happy to advise you.
Are the alpine pastures easily accessible with children?
The Grossarl Valley is also called the Valley of the alpine pastures, as it is known for its child-friendly alpine pastures with playgrounds and petting zoos. Many alpine pastures are easily accessible for small hikers.
Are guided hikes offered?
We offer guided family hikes during the summer months.
Is it possible to do sunrise hikes or summit tours?
Our hiking guide offers sunrise hikes and summit tours regularly in the summer months.
Are there alpine course offers like climbing?
As a Moar Gut guest, you can participate in the mountain program of our partner BERGgesund free of charge. Only the rental fee for the equipment, such as via ferrata sets or similar, is extra.
Active in winter
Do you have a ski rental/ski shop?
There is a ski and snowboard rental shop in the Moar Gut Ladl.
How far away is the ski area?
The cable car station is only 3 km from our resort. We offer our guests an exclusive shuttle service.
Is there a snow guarantee for the Grossarl/Dorfgastein ski area?
We can't influence the weather, but the ski area has the best technical snow-making equipment.
Dogs at Moar Gut
Are dogs allowed at Moar Gut?
Yes, dogs are very welcome at Moar Gut!

How much do I have to pay for my dog?
We charge € 50,00 per day for your dog. We ask for your understanding that we reserve the right to charge for the final cleaning of your room if necessary. If there is any damage to the inventory, this will be charged by us.
What is included in the price?
Your dog can enjoy high-quality dog equipment such as dog beds and bowls in the suite. On arrival you will receive a treat as a welcome and you will be provided with dog walking bags.
Where can I walk my dog?
Around the resort is a beautiful panoramic path, which is advertised with about half an hour. There is also a walking and cycling path along the Großarler Ache. Furthermore, countless hikes to alpine pastures and peaks in the entire Grossarl Valley are signposted.
Is leashing compulsory at the Moar Gut?
Yes, leashes are compulsory on the entire resort grounds as well as during walks!
How is the suite cleaned after the stay with dog?
It is a legal requirement that suites are cleaned with a special cleaner. We also use an industrial steamer.
Is there a veterinarian nearby?
Yes, in Werfen (30 minutes drive) is the practice of veterinarian Gabi Fidler, who is specializes in dogs.

Are the parking spaces free of charge?
The video-monitored underground car park is available to our guests free of charge.
Are dogs allowed in the Moar Gut?
We are happy to welcome also your dog at Moar Gut, but we ask for a request in advance. We charge Euro 50 per day for your dog. We ask for your understanding that we reserve the right to charge for the final cleaning of your room. If there is any damage to the inventory, this will be charged by us.
Your dog may enjoy a high-quality dog equipment such as dog beds, bowls and treats on arrival.
Is there a doctor and a pharmacy in the village
There are two general practitioners in the village, who are also on call at weekends. The pharmacy in Großarl has a permanent on-call service. Someone is available at all times to dispense urgently needed medication.
What are the prices?
Our prices are in EURO per hotel suite and day, including full board and all Moar Gut inclusive services. Visitor's tax of € 1.20 per adult and day exclusive.

At which point is a reservation considered fixed and binding?
We confirm your booking with a written reservation confirmation. As soon as the deposit is credited to our account, your reservation is guaranteed and fixed.
When is a reservation considered firm and binding?
Your reservation is binding with the written confirmation. You will also be asked to pay a deposit.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation conditions according to the general terms and conditions for the hotel industry if you have booked without travel cancellation insurance:
The entire booked stay can be canceled, a shortening by the day is excluded.
- up to 3 months before arrival free of charge
- from 3 months to 6 weeks before arrival 40%
- from 6 weeks before arrival 80%
- from one week before arrival 100 % of the booked package price.
Rebookings or cancellations can only be made in writing - vacation postponements are treated as cancellations.
Travel cancellation.
In order to avoid unnecessary cancellation costs, we recommend that you take out European travel insurance. Our reception team will be happy to advise you. Otherwise, the cancellation conditions apply according to the general terms and conditions for the hotel industry according to our terms and conditions.
