Summer in Grossarltal invites you to enjoy unique hiking experiences. Our trained hiking guides accompany you on tours for every fitness level - from family hikes suitable for baby carriages to challenging summit tours. Particularly popular with our guests: the weekly sunrise hike up the Schuhflicker, an unforgettable vacation highlight for early risers and nature lovers.

The adventure begins before dawn: the hotel bus takes you up to the Aualm, where the hike starts. The hike begins in the dark of night, with a view of the crystal-clear starry sky. Guided by the light of the headlamps, the path climbs over hill and dale for around 500 meters.

With every step, the sky becomes brighter, birds begin to chirp, alpine grasses dance in the wind and the distant sound of the mountain stream accompanies the hikers. After about an hour, the summit cross of the Schuhflicker (2,214 m) is reached - at just the right moment, as the sun now appears on the horizon. The first rays bathe the peaks in warm light as nature awakens - an indescribably beautiful experience.
