Horse-drawn sleigh ride
Nostalgia meets romance - on a horse-drawn sleigh ride you glide through the picturesque mountain landscape of the Grossarl Valley wrapped in cozy blankets. We harness our Icelandic horses for you and off you go. With our own Moar Gut carriage, silence all around and only the snorting of our Icelandic horses can be heard. A unique and idyllic experience that you will not soon forget.
Grossarl Mountain Advent
On the 1st of december, as every year, the unique and idyllic christmas market opens in Großarl. Completely under the motto "traditional and contemplative" different culinary delicacies are offered and unique handicrafts are presented. From the Engerlpostamt, over cookie baking to the Nativity scene hike - at the Bergadvent in the Grossarl Valley you experience a unique offer and the wonderful mountain idyll.
Winter hiking
During a leisurely winter walk along the Grossarl river or the panorama trail, all you hear is the snow crunching under your feet and the murmur of the stream. The fresh mountain air is a true balm for the soul and provides relaxation and deceleration. Warm up by the fireplace in the lobby after your hike while enjoying a soothing cup of tea.
Experience traditions
In the pre-Christmas period, old traditions are often strongly lived. Customs have a special significance, especially during this time. Whether it is the driving away of ghosts by the Krampusse, the visit of St. Nicholas or the incense with herbs in the houses. The Advent season offers deep insights into the traditions of the Salzburg region.
Cookies & Punch
Who doesn't like them? The small and delicious cookies that are hard to resist. Advent time without cookies and punch is probably hard to imagine. We are also passionate about baking cookies and are happy to be able to delight our guests with these little delicacies. A warm cup of punch and a homemade cookie - that's the pre-Christmas season at Moar Gut.

Building a snowman
A snowman arguably embodies the magic and fun of winter. With a big dose of creativity and a dash of childlike enthusiasm, building a snowman probably turns anyone into a sculptor. The basic instructions for a snowman are very simple: stack three snowballs of different sizes on top of each other. Finally, add a carrot for a nose, branches for arms and pieces of coal for eyes. And there you have it - your beautiful snowman.
