Materials:
- Brown wrapping paper
- A small cardboard box
- Ribbons/strings
- Hairband
- 2 white polystyrene balls or beads
- Scissors
- Hot glue
This is how it works:
- Cut off a large piece of wrapping paper. (70-100cm)
- Twist the paper into each other to make a messy roll.
- As soon as the roll is finished, twist it into a snail.
- To keep the paper snail in shape, glue it in place at some points (beginning and end).
- The next roll of paper is placed at the end of the first and this is repeated until the snail has reached the desired size.
- Now repeat this and make a second snail of the same size.
- Glue both parts together with hot glue.
- Then glue the snail shell onto a small piece of cardboard.
- Now the straps are still missing so that the snail shell can be carried like a rucksack. To do this, simply make 4 holes in the corners of the cardboard and attach thick cords or ribbons to them. (Make sure you measure how long the “straps” should be beforehand).
- Fold a piece of wrapping paper (desired length for the feelers) into each other until it stands alone.
- Use hot glue to attach polystyrene balls to one end
- Finally, glue the antennae to the hairband. (you can also wrap the hairband with the same paper)
