Gustis first ski lesson
Yesterday I popped into Andi's sports store. It's right next to my chicken coop. That's really very practical! Andi already knew I was coming and had already prepared the right skis and ski boots for me. I even got a proper ski helmet. A rooster with a ski helmet! Kids, I tell you, that looks really funny!
With my skis under my wing, I trudge off to the Moar Gut ski meadow. It's almost 10.00 a.m., so I have to hurry to get there on time. I can already spot my ski instructor from afar. She is already waving to me. Full of joy, I trudge past the small animal farm and wave again to Hanni the sheep and Sven the alpaca. They are also excited and curious to see how my first day of skiing will go. When I arrive on the slopes, the other children and ski instructor Maria give me a friendly welcome.
There is a lot to see and discover here on the Moar Gut ski slope. A magic carpet, a platter lift and even a tire carousel! Hopefully we'll get to ride it later! A few sledgers are already whizzing down the mountain on the side. Wow, that looks fun!
Together with our ski instructor Maria, we do our first exercises and she shows us tips and tricks on how best to learn to ski. Wings on your knees, ski tips together, push the toe apart. It looks easier than it is. But it's incredibly fun. I often fly into the snow, but it doesn't matter. I get up, shake my feathers and just try again!
After a few runs, the ski course is already over for today. How quickly time flies! But luckily, we continue tomorrow. We're training for the big race at the end of the week. Hopefully I'll be able to do the snowplow and a few turns by then! But with the help of ski instructor Maria and the other children, I'll get there! For sure!
And who knows, maybe we'll see each other on the Moar Gut ski slope. Keep an eye out for a white rooster, whizzing down the slope as fast as the wind. See you then!
